CHILD STRUCK NEAR COSTCO
Twin Falls Crash
Twin Falls Police are releasing more information about a crash that left a young child seriously injured. Police say Monday night, an 18-year-old driver struck a 4-year-old boy who was crossing Pole Line Road with his older siblings near Costco, outside of a designated crosswalk. The child was airlifted by Air St. Lukeโs. The roadway was closed for about three hours.

Wanted Man Arrested
A wanted Ada County man is in custody after a brief standoff in Meridian. U.S. Marshals say 28-year-old Daniel Bennett was wanted on a felony warrant tied to a May police pursuit. Officers surrounded a home yesterday, and Bennett was arrested after authorities entered the residence.
DEADLY DUI CRASH CHARGES
Interstate 184 Fatal Crash
A Boise man is facing felony charges after a deadly crash on Interstate 184 Sunday night. Prosecutors say 29-year-old Kevin McCannon was driving under the influence when his vehicle rear-ended an SUV, killing a 49-year-old Arizona woman and injuring several others. His bond is set at one million dollars.

Swan Falls Dam Recovery
Authorities have identified the 19-year-old man who died after going missing in the Snake River near Swan Falls Dam. The Ada County Coroner says Cyrus Pratt the Third of Nampa was found Monday after an extensive search. Officials say he had been submerged in the water for an extended period.

Idaho Schools
Several new Idaho education laws take effect July 1. Public schools will be required to start each day with a moment of silence, parents must be notified of student social transition requests, and new restrictions are being placed on virtual school learning funds.

Legion Baseball
The Burley Green Sox stayed hot Monday, sweeping a Legion A doubleheader against Kimberly. Burley won game one 13-1 behind strong performances from cousins Jake and Ike Redder, while pitchers Mack Haynes and Braxton Warr combined to dominate on the mound. The Green Sox followed that up with a 20-2 run-rule victory in game two. Jacoby Roe collected three hits, and Warr, Boone Trevino, and Hudson Funk each drove in three runs. BODE MILLER CHARGED
Idaho Arrest
Olympic gold medalist and former ski racing star Bode Miller has been charged with misdemeanor drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia following an arrest earlier this month in Idaho. Miller has pleaded not guilty to both charges. The five-time Olympian won six Olympic medals during his career.

Team Idaho Medal
Magic Valley athletes are making their mark at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota. Twin Falls native Parker Paul and Burleyโs Clyde Hamilton captured a silver medal in bocce ball on Monday, giving Team Idaho its first medal of the Games. Paul, a 2016 Twin Falls High School graduate, also competes with the Magic Valley Mavericks adaptive sports team. On the womenโs side, Alexis Schimmelpfenning and Adison Wilson finished fifth. Idahoโs bocce athletes return to competition Thursday and Friday for individual and team events.
