- Child Labor Violations at Swensen’s
Twin Falls-based Swensen’s grocery chain was fined over $250,000 by the U.S. Department of Labor. Six minors, including a 13-year-old, were found performing hazardous tasks in violation of federal law. - Kimberly Shooting Charges
Two 19-year-olds are facing charges tied to a deadly shooting at a Kimberly mobile home park. Daniel Wise is jailed for firearm possession, while Andrew Snyder Thorstad is charged with destroying evidence. More charges may follow. - Kidnapping & Rescue in Lewis County
Authorities rescued a woman in Lewis County who reported being drugged and held against her will after being taken from Oregon. A local man was arrested by Idaho State Police after a coordinated multi-agency investigation. - Bryan Kohberger Trial Update
An Ada County judge will hear motions today regarding the delay of Bryan Kohberger’s trial and defense claims of alternate suspects in the 2022 University of Idaho murders. The trial is scheduled for August.

- Budget Cuts Coming
Governor Brad Little has warned state agencies to brace for up to 6% midyear budget cuts due to a $141 million revenue shortfall. With recent tax cuts in place, only “maintenance-level” budgets will be allowed for 2026. - Immigration Enforcement Funding
Idaho approved $300,000 to help State Police transport non-citizens convicted of crimes to ICE detention centers, following a new immigration enforcement deal promoted by Governor Little. - Land Board Legal Shift
The Idaho Land Board voted to use independent legal counsel from the Department of Lands instead of Attorney General Raúl Labrador. Governor Little says the move complies with a 2024 law.

- Rock Creek Restoration Input Needed
Twin Falls is seeking public input on restoring Rock Creek, a historic but polluted waterway. A workshop will be held tonight from 5–7 p.m. at Rock Creek Park.
