FATAL CRASH β JEROME COUNTY
Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash just north of Jerome.
Troopers say a 66-year-old woman from Buhl failed to yield at a stop sign on East 700 North and Highway 93, colliding with another vehicle.
She died at the scene.
The other driver, a 40-year-old woman from Shoshone, was taken to a local hospital.
SEMI CRASH β INTERSTATE 84
Idaho State Police is investigating a semi-truck crash on Interstate 84 near milepost 200 in Jerome County.
Troopers say a 28-year-old Washington man drove off the road early yesterday morning, hitting a guardrail before the Kenworth semi caught fire.
The fire was later extinguished, and the crash remains under investigation.
SECOND I-84 CRASH β JEROME COUNTY
A second crash happened just a few hours later yesterday morning on Interstate 84 near milepost 198 and a half in Jerome County, close to an earlier semi-truck crash.
Idaho State Police says a 37-year-old Oregon woman failed to slow for traffic and hit a Subaru, which then slammed into a Ford F-350.
The Oregon driver was airlifted to a local hospital.
Two people in the pickup were also taken to the hospital.
PAYETTE RIVER SEARCH β CASCADE
Idaho State Police says crews recovered a Dodge Ram from the North Fork of the Payette River today south of Cascade after river levels dropped enough for access.
The truck was empty, and the 40-year-old Montana driver still has not been located after witnesses reported seeing him swept downstream following Sundayβs crash on Highway 55.
GAS PRICES β IDAHO
Idaho drivers are getting a little relief at the pump this week, with gas prices down six cents to an average of $4.61 a gallon.
But AAA says donβt expect that to last.
Rising crude oil prices and ongoing tensions in the Middle East could mean a rough summer ahead for fuel prices.

Officials say water releases below Palisades Dam will fluctuate between 9 this morning and noon today as new gates are tested.

WILDFIRE INVESTIGATION β MOUNTAIN HOME
Investigators say the Mountain Home wildfire that destroyed 15 homes was sparked by power lines hitting together in high winds.
The arcing wires ignited dry grass, and winds up to 35 miles an hour quickly spread the nearly 250-acre fire.

BOISE STATE FOOTBALL β NFL FELLOWSHIP
Boise State assistant coach Jabril Frazier is heading to the NFL this week after earning a Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Los Angeles Rams.
Frazier helped lead one of the nationβs top defenses last season, as the Broncos ranked among the national leaders in sacks and tackles for loss.
The former Bronco player has now been part of five Boise State conference championships, including three as an assistant coach.
IDAHO VANDALS β FOOTBALL SIGNING
The Idaho Vandals have added another target for quarterback playmaker Ian Shoemakerβs offense, signing wide receiver Markel Taylor out of Sacramento City College.
The 6-foot-2 receiver hauled in 25 catches for 425 yards and three touchdowns last season, including a game-winning score against Foothill College.
Taylor joins a deep Idaho receiver room as the Vandals begin summer workouts ahead of the 2026 season opener against Cal Poly.
